I am selling a Lawler Eb trumpet that has been sitting in its case since I got my grad degree. I needed it for grad school and purchased it from one of the local symphony players that retired. Now, after grad school, I have no need for it.
It is pitched in only Eb but comes with 2 distinctly different bells - a 23 and a 23R. One bell has a slightly darker sound and the other sounds a brighter - not as bright as an E3L. So, you are getting two horns for the price of one. I have used it in chamber groups, orchestras and solo playing with great results.
It is a great horn, plays well, very open, intonation is great. I tried many of the big name maker Eb's and this played the most open of all of them. It is probably the best bang for the buck I have ever spent on a horn.
All slides have a good "pop" when pulled. The overall body is in a brush silver with bright silver accents as is the 23 bell. The 23R bell is in bright silver. The finish, to me looks 100% in both the brush silver and the bright silver.
I do hate to see it go. But, like i said, I have had no need for it since grad school and I need to pay off some school loans.
$2000 will include a ProTec double case and shipping in the continental U.S. I am open to reasonable offers. I would also ask that paypal is kept out of this as I am not too keen on giving them any more money.
