Asking Price Condition
$350.00 Great

Imperial.jpg
supersize

Description: Serial# 191XXX puts it at about 1953/1954. The horn is original with lever style water keys and top sprung pistons that are similar to a #3 Committee Deluxe. There are no dings or dents. The horn is in super condition with the exception of the lacquer. While it covers the majority of the horn it is faded and "spider-webbed" especially around the valve casing. The mouthpiece receiver is nickel as are the top and bottom valve caps.

The valves are in teriffic condition. They are tight in the casing and are very smooth. The valves could very well have been replated, but they were originally nickel with hard nickel plating so it's possible that they have simple held up well over the years. The compression on this horn is excellent. All slides pop when pulled. It is a pleasure to play with a warm tone similar to the Committee.

I got this in a trade with Bob Frost of the Indy Band Repair Co. It's a wonderful horn to play and is very similar to a Committee, but I'm using it as a second horn and I really want a cornet.

Depending on the trade offer I could also include a 1960 Conn Victor 22B.

If purchased outright, shipping is $25.00

Larry, Hi. Very cool old cornet, but I am more interested in a modern, short model, ie: CR310, Yamaha, Getzen etc.

Thanks!

Johnny
