Ted, Which MP do you prefer? Can you tell the difference without looking?

Cody, I like the Monette B6 it provided me with 'advancement' but when I received my Bravura, discussions with Jason Harrelson suggested that his SWE version of the gold-plated B6 would be a better fiot for me and the Bravura - and so it has proven. I must say though - I had to 'learn' how to play each of these mouthpieces - you don't just stick 'em in the receiver and everything is perfect. I highly recommend the Harrelson SWE B6 - it works well in my non Harrelson horns too BTW.

Ted, sorry for not seeing this comment. I was sure that I left it for you but I could not find the picture.
I am thinking about a getting a SWE Harrelson mouthpiece. But I will be getting a Monette MFIII soon. If you didnt know Harrelson is making a 5MM. A 5 piece modular mouthpiece. You will be able to change the rim, cup, throat, backbore, and the sleeve. If you are interested email them now. If you order before Jan 1st 2013 it is only 99 USD. Then it will go to 195 USD. How do I know this, when I got my Harrelson finger buttons I was emailing them(about 4 months ago) and I have been in contact ever since. We have been talking about a Harrelson for me. What I plan on doing is getting one as a graduation present when I finish college. The horn will most likely be a Summit Art Lead. That will be one great horn. I dont live as far away as you, so I may just fly there for a consultation and to pick it up.!

Cody, I'm not sure I'm very interested in constantly changing my MP - my first tutor suggested that one get a MP and learn to play it. I've worked on the Harrelson B6 SWE for some time now, and having an adjustable version would be counter-productive I think. I looking at buying another SWE B6 for my Getzen, but with a gold rim this time, I've been in contact with Paul and everything seems a bit quiet with "standard" MPs while the 5MM is developed - so I'm just letting it ride ATM. I have to recommend the Harrelson horns though - aren't they a great bunch of people at Harrelson's - very helpful.

Yes, Paul is a great guy. Like I said, been talking to him for months. What he said about the 1 piece SWE mps is that they are focusing all effort on the 5MM. They may still do the 1 piece but it would be a custom work.
