1812 Overture sheet music

    This came on after Holst's "St. Paul's Suite", it's still on,lolz. It made me think of tobylou8's predicament. Not sure, but it sounds like London Philly...

    I believe I've seen/heard it done with shotguns, one at each side of the stage. (I presume they were using blanks.) I wonder if they were jacking the empty shells into the 'Gallagher seats'?

    I saw it performed once outdoors in Wyoming, they used field artillery. The local Nat'l Guard did the honors, it was pretty impressive.

    We did National Guard cannons last year. Blew the music off some folks stands. Yes, they used blanks!

    On second thought....

    After a performance featuring real cannons, I am sure that complaints from the woodwinds about the volume from the trumpet section will be much abated.

    It's definately more impressive with the cannons. I've seen it done several times with them:oops:
