Okay, it's 1:55 am and I'm on my second bottle of 'nightcap', but a thought has just struck me.

Since I was born on the 10th October, 1958, I really should not be able to go to my grave in peace unless I had a 1958 Besson 10-10 to accompany me into the afterlife.

I trust that this is not a particularly urgent matter, but I don't really fancy meeting up with Siegfried and Beowulf carrying an heirloom that merely celebrates my fifth birthday. Not really in the same league as Nothung and Nægling.

Anybody have one that's surplus to requirements, and preferably in better nick than I am?

What serial No range? I will check mine, it was given to me having been rescued from a dumpster at a school, I have got it into playing condition, waiting for me to make new linkages for the triggers.

    Regards, Stuart.

IFF they followed the B&H numbering, which Hornucopia tells me they did, the serial numbers would be between 269345 and 288449.

Sorry Seth, mine is 302xxx, if it fitted the years it would be yours.

    Regards, Stuart.

Sorry Seth, mine is SN 262XXX...Not far but...

By the way, I have lost one of the two stop nuts that block the 3rd slide (under the slide).
Do you know anything compatible or where I can find a spare part??
    Many thanks.

I tend to shy away from instruments with stop rods. Only have them on the Besson and Wild Thing and they don't match. At least on the Besson, the two nuts are identical, so having one, a good craftsman should be able make another for you easily enough.
