3rd vavle slide

    If my experiment works, I'll probably just get my tech to cut more threads in my original rod.

    Im confused, is your rod not fully threaded?

    No - the Bach stop rods are held in place by a set screw in the bottom of the rod post. The last 1/4" or so of the rod, where it fits into the post, isn't threaded. That unthreaded part extends partially into the space between the two posts. You can kind of see it here...

    Okay, I got you. I thought the end by the spit valve was not threaded. That should work.
