    You're probably best off having one made. Talk to someone that does that kind of stuff and see what your options are....There are plenty of decent vintage cornets available on E-bay now....Have someone convert it for you.......Buying an original is upwards of $2000.

    Okay...I'll bite. What on earth would you use that for?!?! I'm completely at a loss for what to say about that. :dontknow:

    Hi Nerf,

    It acts as a valve actuated mute essentially. That's why the quality of that portion of the horn isn't critical, and using the Indian horn's section for that purpose doesn't really cause any major problems.

    It's an interesting idea from a bygone era. (click video again if it says the video is no longer there....it'll play the second click.)

    When they show up on ebay they get snatched up and the bidding get's crazy by cornet standards!

    I think it would be easier and cheaper just to get one made. I was thinking how its done and its just cutting a tiny portion off the cornet and just add the portion from the indian one. im just worried that the valve from the indian one may not work well (because of quality)
