I've received a reply from the Milwaukee Festival Brass, a British-style brass band about playing my flugel with them. Auditions are in August, so I have my work cut out for me.

I know many of you have opinions, so here is your thread to share them.

Do they have a specific list of audition items = a recommended list or pieces, or is it totally up to you to bring the Buescher and play whatever you prefer?

All he has to do is just show up with the Beuscher. They'll see that and be convinced. He won't have to play a thing.

Good luck, Tom. Looks like it's not a contesting band, so that could be good if you don't care for that type of thing.

They'll post the audition information in a few weeks. I suspect they have some pieces.

...even though it's one of the weirdest looking... almost a cornet by the looks. If that brass band is very conservative, you might get into difficulties...

They were at NABBA this year playing in the third section and finished third out of five. Good luck on the audition and nice looking flugelhorn!
