    Hey guys:

Thanks for the comments on the Forza trumpet.

How would you guys feel about a Forza trumpet tour? This would be like
other tours where we make a list of testers and each one gets the horn for about a week and posts their comments here.

I could have my builder put together another horn with reversed slides on 1st and 3rd and add rings, he said that's no big deal.

Also, your feedback would be used to fine tune the prototype after the tour.

    What do you think?

I'd try it! I'll try anything (trumpet related...).

It sounds like there may be enough interest to do this.

One thing I should ask is what people prefer on the first slide, a hook or a ring?

The hook is fine, but for me, the ideal is a ring that is tilted to the left. I know Monette does that and probably some others and it really promotes a relaxed hand position. At least for me. Probably more info than you wanted, but there you go!

    Greg,

Sign me up if you put a ring on it (preferably tilted to the left). If you put a hook on it, sign me up, too!

Oh, also if you guys can measure the distance on your horns from the edge of the 3rd valve case to the center of your 3rd slide ring then I can get an idea of where people would like it to be mounted.

    Thanks,

    Greg

I'm a ring guy, myself. From casing to middle of 3rd ring is 3cm or 1 1/4".

    Sign me up!

Look forward to giving it a big band workout.

I prefer a hook, (large knuckle) but a ring is ok too.
