When I play, especially in the upper register, air always swaps out through the corners of my mouth. This causes me to get tired quicker. How can I stop this from happening?

without saying how long you have been playing trumpet - I would say you either need to have the corners stronger to hold the aperture -- or you maybe be using a wee bit of pressure to deform your aperture and provide the leakage. just a thought:-?

IT isn't the leaky air tht make you tired. Leaking air can be a sign of weak chops. Leaky air is just an additional symptom.

This is when you need a really good instructor to evaluate your playing. Only a pro will be able to tell you if it's something that needs fixing.
