Hey all, here are a couple of new vids in response to a few questions.

The first one is real quick about air vibration between the lips.

The second one is a little more complex to explain but goes into reducing overblowing by understanding the feeling of compression in the body.

    Happy trumpeting,
    Greg

Lungs stop growing at age 5. If we can STOP the growth of your girth, we have a better chance of getting somewhere. Resistance (from abdominal excess) inhibits diaphragm excursion.

    Hey KT,

You should check out Greg's videos on Breathing (and Re-breathing Bag)Free trumpet lesson videos by yamaha atrist Greg Spence. , and he has a couple of tools to help with building lung capacity/air speed, and worth the work to try them as he outlines. The Wind Gauge works well. Free trumpet lesson videos by yamaha atrist Greg Spence.

Relaxation, Back swing, Wind resonance and sound, and understanding the sensations to better the feel on the instrument. I can tell you, that the tools really help, as I drifted back quickly to my old habits. This guy is a Wiz, and explains things easily, and in easy concepts. AND it works!

    Cheers
    Peter
ps those links came through a bit long winded. But time to re-run the videos for the start of the year.

I love the videos. They make the complex stuff go away. Now if only you could give a sight reading tutorial :)
