I came out of the closet a long time ago, (because I'm straight). Now I play in a regular practice room. It is much nicer and freer. Also the Yamaha silent mute system is good for hotels when I travel. My wife likes it too.

In solidarity with you, I have played one hour with the Harmon mute, this afternoon.
I had not done that since long…
After an hour, I had hallucinations:
I heard a voice very hoarse, who whispered to me "**** off!".
    I stopped right away!

Turtle, You could have stopped when you started if the music or conductor didn't call for a harmon, or other mute. Too, with your soundproofed shed, you can't validly claim you need a silencing mute.

Aiy aiy, Cap'n. But the DyLIPpium Crystals ... they won't hold out. They're failing, sir .... we'll never make it to planet double C. And, we're surrounded by Klingons, Romulans, and clarinets. :shhh:
