I play piano [actually my first instrument I started a few years before trumpet], but I usually practice both instruments on the same days in the same sessions, sometimes recording a track on a digital piano, then playing along on trumpet [depending on where I am at]. I guess that doesn't count as an alternate instrument for "off" days...

    Another option for the didgeridoo:
    X8 Spiral Wood Didgeridoo - X8 Drums

I bought this one -- it's great. Solid build, nice tone, easy to handle.

I am not aspiring to become an Aboriginal tribesman, or start hanging out with techno psychonauts...
the didge is just a fun thing to honk a few tones on everyday. The spiral has worked well for that.

I've considered a hang drum, but my right hand is not athletic enough. I could possible play well enough if I used leather mallets...swinging a mallet can accentuate the motion of my wrist.
Yesterday was admiring on YouTube a Zen Tambour...gorgeous. and sounds great blended with a didgeridoo.
    Again, I would need mallets.

    Isn't that the neatest thing!!!!!
I might enjoy fireside frivolity with techno psychoanauts. At this stage of grayness, why not? Of course, once they bring out the mushrooms I might need to remove myself.

I would be impressed if you could get a Hang drum. They don't make many, and they are selective about who gets one AND they cost more than any non Monette trumpet.

    Oh.

    Well, then.

I guess I'll need to find an old propane tank and make my own.

How about letting us hear some of it? Maybe? Or is it totally private for your enjoyment only?
