AMERICAN BRASS QUINTET at University of Wisconsin Oshkosh April 1 & 2

    Hello all,

    On April 1st and 2nd, the American Brass Quintet will be giving masterclasses and a culmination concert at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Listed below is the schedule of events:


    Tuesday, April 1

    9:40-11:10am - ABQ playing and demonstrating various chamber music styles and techniques (45') 3 students perform in masterclass setting (15' each)

    1:20-2:50pm - Business of music discussion: managing, booking gigs, working as a group, social media use, commissioning, recording, organization of teaching and playing

    4:15 Orchestra brass masterclass

    Dinner hang at Cranky Pats (a local pizza joint)


    Wednesday, April 2

    11:30-12:30pm - Instrument specific masterclasses

    12:40-1:40pm - Ensembles masterclass

    2pm-5pm - warmup/rehearsal as needed

    5pm-7pm - dinner/concert prep

    7:30pm - CONCERT


    I highly encourage yourself and your students to attend any of these events. The masterclasses are free of charge, and the concert is very cheap. Ticket prices are:

    $8 general admission
    $5 seniors age 55+ and students with I.D.
    $3 children age 12 and under
