Ok, I'm hearing alot about pronouncing "eeeee" when playing. When Manny was on here, he stressed "too" which has helped me tenfold when playing, especially in the higher register. I've tried "eeee" but not only does it thin my tone, but it makes me incredibly sharp. What say you?

I say that the consummate trumpeter needs it all. Sometimes we need an EEEEEE sound, sometimes a OOOOH sound and sometimes a FFFFFFFFrT sound. To be articulate as a speaker, you need various vowels and consonants. When the horn is screwed on to your chops, it is no different.

Good point. When I use "ooooh", it forces my lips into the mp for a more full sound. If I wanted to bend the note up, going to "eeee" would probably help by stretching my lips thin and keeping my corners tight.
