Some days I worry that I'll get this response when I'm playing, but fortunately my neighbors are far enough away that I can't hear them if I do.

Highly Educated New Yorker Goes Off on "No-Talent" Trumpet Player (Audio NSFW, abusive)

It's hard to tell if truly awful play ignited it - there's a bit of bad play around :48, but it's after the rant started, so it's possible the trumpeter is just mocking.

It also reminds me of a line from "Mein Nachbar ist ein Zombie" (My Neighbor is a Zombie)

"Der Typ ist das, was man in Deutschland den perfekten Nachbarn nennt:
keinen Hund und keine Kinder und spielt kein Instrument."

"The type is what we call the perfect neighbors in Germany :
no dog and no children and plays no instrument."

I am definitely not a perfect neighbor.

    Thanks,

That's been making the rounds. Personally, I think this guy's just trying to get some improvisatory acting on record and the trumpeter just gave him the format. And if that's it, he shouldn't quit his day job (which I understand is film making?). Er . . . maybe he should quit his day job.

BTW, he's lucky the busker didn't knock the crap out of him. What an obnoxious little p****.

I think a Bundy suppository would be in order...........

Looks staged to me, can't see someone of his modest stature being that confrontational in NYC, but you never know.........

I guess I'd score as low as one can on that scale, as I have several of each category...

I believe his rambling to be more obnoxious than bad trumpet playing.

Once again, I will state, you haven't lived in NYC have you? For the 4.5 years I lived there, I observed rants like this on a weekly basis. Usually in the sub-ways, but sometimes on surface streets as well. Fortunately the anger in the heart of men has a low prevalence, but when you live in a city of several million people, it does occasionally rear it's ugly head.
