Welcome Mike. I started playing trumpet at age 57. Wish I had started earlier. I have no background in music, but it has been a worthwhile journey. Recently bought a Trombone and enjoy playing it. My cornet/trumpet and mouthpiece safari has ended. At least for awhile.

    Welcome Mike,
There is a lot to learn from this site. Information here has prevented me from looking for quick fixes and working on what I am doing correctly and incorrectly instead of looking to technololgy. I 'm tempted to write "good luck" but instead offer the hope of "pleasant results" even when the present is not meeting immediate desires. Celebrate the good stuff too.

First - advanced age of 48 (ouch I'm 49 going on 50), second when saying football you mean soccer right? Just kidding - welcome to the forum. Started playing again on a REGULAR basis about 4 years ago.- lots of fun and you'll be surprised at quickly you can regain your talents.. Cheers!
