Thought I would share this in case some of you have not seen it.

To do this solo, outdoors, those conditions, and have the gusto, chops, and passion he does, and nail a version most trumpet players would not try with millions watching, was incredible.

I have always dug all the great things he does, truly, in my humble opinion, the most versatile trumpet player today and one of the greatest to ever walk on this planet. He plays great ballads, jazz, lead, latin and he absolutely was awesome on this!

Check it out: YouTube - Arturo Sandoval, Trumpet, National Anthem 1/1/09 Orange Bowl

Oh I'm glad you put this up here. Everyone at school was like, hey did you see that trumpet guy before the Tech game??? And I didn't watch it, too much homework. And of course they didn't know what his name was. Anyway, that was great, I hate I missed it live, but at least the Hokies pulled out the victory!

If I could play half that good, I'd be happy. And the echoes causing the doubling effect were really cool, too.
