Any fellow Aussies (at least those living in Melbourne or Sydney) might be interested in seeing the great man play. He's on in June. At the moment Tickemaster are doing a pre-sale deal on tickets - $70 for 70 hours. The code word to access the offer is "70for70".

Only down side I can see is that the Melbourne venue is the Palais Theatre and the sound has been lousy at the last two shows (rock bands) that I've seen there.

    cheers

I've seen him live and it's awesome. You're in for a great show!

I wonder why he's not playing in the Nation's Capital? That's a bit of a downside for me...

Thanks TL8. Looking forward to the show even more now.

Bbee... I guess that we slum dwellers in the big smoke deserve some compensation now and then. :-) You're only a couple of hours from Sydney of you fancy a drive.

State Theatre in Sydney - I heard the Grimethorpe Colliery Band there about 10 years ago - lovely intimate venue - should be fantastic.

His first stop on this new tour was here in Orlando, Florida. If it is anything like the concert I attended last October, then be ready to be blown away!!!!

True enough - though it turns out to be 4 hours each way if you include Sydney city traffic (and if you are lucky... and Saturday should be okay). Actually thinking about it, it would be more convenient for people in Bowral or Goulbourn or Cooma, not to mention Jindabyne, Gundagai, Yass or Wagga Wagga, to drive to Canberra than to Sydney, and as you say, it's only a few hours drive from there so Sydneysiders need not miss out either.

4 HOURS? BumbleeBee, there's such a thing as an internal combustion engine you know - or there is the iron horse.
