I HAVE A REYNOLDS CONTEMPORA TRUMPET SER# 52569 THAT I HAVE OWNED SINCE THE EARLY SIXTIES. IT HAS THE FIRST VALVE SPRING TRIGGER SLIDE AND IT ALSO HAS THE THIRD VALVE SPRING TRIGGER SLIDE WHICH WAS A $35 OPTION BACK IN THOSE DAYS. IT CAME IN AN ALLIGATOR SKIN CASE W/DUAL CARRYING HANDLES. CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW MANY CONTEMPORAS WERE MADE WITH THE THIRD VALVE SPRING TRIGGER SLIDE, HOW RARE THEY ARE, AND ITS VALUE?? MOST ALL OF THE CONTEMPORAS I HAVE SEEN ONLY HAVE THE FIRST VALVE TRIGGER OR NONE AT ALL. I BELIEVE THAT MY HORN MAY HAVE BEEN A DEMO HORN BEFORE IT WAS PURCHASED FOR ME BY MY PARENTS. IT WAS NEAR NEW AS I RECALL AND IT MAY HAVE BEEN PURCHASED FROM A SEATTLE MUSIC STORE; AS WE LIVED IN ISSAQUAH WASHINGTON AT THE TIME. :dontknow: :?:
