I was pleasantly surprised to see Aurturo play the Star Spangled Banner before the Orange Bowl. They focused the camera on him and my whole family wondered aloud "who the heck is "this" guy". And I said , it's Aurturo Sandoval FOOLS! Shut up and prepare to be amazed!
He played most of the song straight as can be then kicked the ending up a notch. Everyone in the stands (and in my house) thought he'd hit the "high" note, where you would sing the word "free", they all went crazy ....... then Auturo cranked it up higher (I can't remember if it was a full octave up but ...) and everyone went nuts.

My family all know who he is now.

If only the University of Cincinnati Bearcats could have played a better football game.

Can anyone tell whether that's Oaks' 'Wild Thing', he's playing?

Yeah, I happened to catch his performance-- blew me away so to speak.

Keep in mind too that Arturo full well appreciates "the land of the free" having migrated from oppressive Cuba.

Like a good wine, Arturo change with the age, mostly for good. Anyway, nothing compared to when I saw him in Barcelona with Dizzy, Roditti, Paquito d'Rivera in 1993...
    BREATHTAKING !!!
    ¡¡¡ ARRIBA ARTURO !!!
