And already one Vendor has confirmed his participation.

    Windtech Brass & Woodwind Repairs
    35 Wandana Drv
    Wandana Heights, VIC 3216
    Telephone Phone: (03) 5243 0908

Windtech have some new Bach leadpipes to show off and let you have a look at.

You need to talk to a Brass Tech - speak with Peter Jerabek - he'll be there.

It looks like it's going to be a good day.

    Thanks Magnetman,

Pity you cannot be here, but we do appreciate your well wishes for a successful day.

Share it with as many as you can in Brissie as well. There are some cheap in and out flights to be had for a single day Bris-Melb-Bris. Cheap outing to play some of the very best horns around. Never find all these horns together again in Oz, IMO.

    Cheers
    Peter

Sounds like a fun time, even though a bit on the short side! Please let us know how it turns out with some pictures.

    Will do VB,

    Short time?
I am just judging from the Trumpet Hangs that have been going on for years in the States. I see most go for about 3 to 4 hours. I would rather have a short session than a long one where the crowd leaves. I want to have a jam at the end; there are 2 scores for multiple trumpet ensembles for the end - from 9 to 16 trumpet parts - so all levels will get a chance to play along.

Here in Melbourne, it will be winter - so Sun will be gone by 5-00. I think it is also a first so there will be learnings that come along with the experience. (I will still need to clean up the hall after the event finishes)

I am talking with Vendors at the moment, but PLAYERS -Bums on seats- is what I really need. So I will start to canvass Bands in the area in a couple of weeks.

Interstate flights can be booked cheaply for over-night or a single day in and out fare. So maybe some inter-state attendance - I hope.

Definitely some photos for media - maybe some local Newspaper articles as well.

    Thanks for the good wishes

I don't suppose any of the participants will be popping off for a pint after the event, will they?
