bach 3c to bach 1 1/2 c mouthpiece

    I use a 3C for most of my trumpet playing. I switched to a 1-1/2C a couple years ago and found it to have a richer sound than the 3C, but was more tiring when playing a lot in the upper register (I know, stating the obvious). I still play the 3C most of the time, but will bring out the 1-1/2C if I want a more "symphonic" sound on a given piece. Generally, when I play a trumpet, I want it to sound like one. If I want mellow, I play the cornet on a big Wick mouthpiece...
