Does anyone about the firm Barth located in Sttugart?
Because I have a bell made by them with a handsome looking garland around it.
Now I added some tubing is now a Natural trumpet in the key of d.

Barth is out of business. Norbert Böpple, who worked for Barth and I believe studied under Franz Schediwy in Ludwigsburg. I took Tony Scodwell to the shop and he was impressed. Willkommen bei Musik Böpple

I don't believe that a bell out of context has "quality". I didn't like the way that Barth trumpets played (I lived in Stuttgart for 7 years and had enough opportunities to try them). Was that the bell? the leadpipe? the braces? the quality of finish?

How suitable the bell is for a natural trumpet is a matter of perspective.........
