basic question: Bb notes on keyboard

    This is just a basic question - although I have learned that the Bb trumpet notes need to be transposed for concert pitch; where for example on the piano keyboard in relation to middle c are the actual trumpet notes?

    Am I right in thinking that c on trumpet is Bb to left of middle c on piano? Or is it an octave lower from middle c?

    Does anyone know where this info is in diagrammatic form?

    You are correct. Middle C is equal to the D under the staff in Bb trumpet notation. The range of the trumpet (excluding pedal tones) begins with low F# (E below middle C on piano).
