Manny- I am listening right now to the live broadcast...had some technical issues, and managed to get in by the end of the 3rd movement of the Beethoven Symphony 7. (It's intermission now). What a performance...everything is laid bare before me...Maestro Vanska's attention to the inner voices lays everything out in the open. Simply magnificent. You sound amazing...even at 32 kbps. I was especially taken by the Maestro's comparison of the last movement to rock music. I had never thought of it that way...but it is a dance; it is so obvious now. I now know how to pronounce his last name now and now when you tell stories about rehearsals I can imagine his voice. I can't wait for Bolero.
I am lucky enough to have broadband and the concert sounds great. It is wonderful to be able to listen to concerts like this. My biggest draw to the internet from the beginning was being able to listen to broadcasts from all over the world. I still listen to WQXR (out of NYC) no matter where I am.
