I am touring Europe with the Blue Lake IYSO next summer and I have a Bb and a C. I want to get a case that will qualify as a carry on that will house two trumpets and be super duper protective.

I am currently looking at this: PRO TEC Product | iPac Double Trumpet Case

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks, everyone!

Dont shoot me down, I know its a triple case. It would give you plenty of room and great protection.

The pro tech looks good, but I would go with the torpedo just for the extra protection.

I use the Protec ipac double and I like it a lot. You must carefully place the pads correctly for each horn. But it is a hard case not a bag so it is quite protective and is carry on size. I also bought the mute bag and backpack straps. I have never used a torpedo case but always hear good things about them.

I sell my Walt Johnson triple case. Fits 2 trumpets + Schilke Picc. Ideal case+ you can check in your horns on planes! Used once.

Love my Protec case ! It's gone through hell on tours, and is still like new.

Get the protec triple... use the third space for accessories (mutes, stands, oil, etc). I really like mine. :-)

Regardless of what case, make sure that it is tough enough to check. Sometimes you have no choice. I never travel with a Bb AND C if they are both piston or both rotary type. The symphony stuff can all be done with one and then the risk of loss/damage only applies to half of the horns.
You have time, make sure that you can ace the program with one. The audience is not impressed with a rack of trumpets and on a cramped stage, two are a real liability - especially if you have some knuckleheads running around on stage.
