    Manny,

What do you consider the best seats at Orchestra Hall?

imo third tier anywhere. i usually end up on the sides for budget reasons.

I too usually sit in the third tier (for budgetary reasons). Depending on where you sit up there, you may not be able to see half the orchestra, but the sound is still fantastic.

There really isn't a bad seat in the house.

My recent experience tells me upstairs. You get to swim in all of the soundwaves bouncing around up there.

You are right; for great sound, there is really not a bad seat in the house. It is interesting to hear how the sound changes though, from an empty house to a full house. My own experience has shown that I hear myself differently when playing onstage when the house is full vs empty. That hall will amplify whatever you are putting out the bell; good or bad.
