I have a copy on order - as soon as it arrives I will be posting some thoughts (although it might take a few days to read all 500+ pages)

It sounds like it's going to be a GREAT book.

Having attended a couple of sessions where Dave has been talking about his teaching methods, this is going to be one heck of a book.

Worth ordering soon, the price will be going up at some point.

To say that Dave is a teaching guru would be an understatement.

    It arrived yesterday:D

I didn't get home until late.

I have skimmed through most of it and it is a STUNNING book. There are sections that cover just about every aspect of trumpet playing (I am still searching for what is NOT in there) and is excellently written and presented.

The pictures are not as clear as they might be (black and white), but if they were high definition colour pics the book would be very expensive (as Dave has explained on TH). They are most certainly good enough to get the points across.

This book is not a "you should consider gettinng this" it is a most definite "you need this book."
If you are a student, you will be getting advice from the best.
If you a teacher, you will be getting advice from the best (there is some excellent material for diagnosing problems as well as some superb exercises).

In short, this is everything I would expect from David Hickman and a great deal more.
Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

I second that endorsement. It is a fantastic resource.

I've ordered mine also. I hope to have it when I'm back from touring (through Scandinavia). It looks to be a impressive book.
