He may be a good guy, and if he is, he is obviously pulling our legs. If he isn't just making fun of us, which we well deserve, then he isn't someone to take advice from. Yes, the concept of increasing air pressure helping to Increase pitch is correct, but if you don't have at least some embouchure strength then you wind up with an extremely diffused and poor quality tone as well as very limited range--like the guy in the video demonstrated.

There are dozens and dozens of outstanding teachers on this forum and the other one that can help you do it right. These great teachers usually follow principles espoused by Reinhardt, Gordon, Adams, etc. There are even amateur hacks like me who started trumpet in mid life that can demonstrate three octaves with good tone and intonation.

He has what I call "Elderly Saxophonists Vibrato" at aproaching 76 I find this creeping into my playing if I do not keep focused and breath properly.

    Regards, Stuart.

But have you seen how many videos he's done? Either he's pi$$ing himself laughing the second he turns the camera off, or he really thinks he can play.

Love the bit at 1 minute in when he takes the mute out and even the cat turns round with a WTF on its face.
