Absolutely!!! The post is not far from the Peace Bridge.
The trumpet hang now has a facebook and web presence BNCB Buffalo Trumpet Hang | Facebook and registration site on the web. BNCB Trumpet Hang (February 18, 2012) I will be posting more details as plans firm. I have tentative committments from area university trumpet faculty and a player with the Buffalo Philharmonic to serve in a question/answer panel discussion format. And thank you Veery for bringing all those horns.
WOW!! Now this is how you do a trumpet hang! Too bad it's Winter (albeit in the 50's currently) and such a distance to travel from Dayton. How I would love to bring my '46 Martin Committee to the hang. I have seen and played several, and this one is in better shape that my '67 Recording, which I babied as much as possible.
I drove to Dayton once to pick up a timpani for a community band, it is a loooooong way.
But not as far as from where I live. Come on Doctor! Bring that Committee to Buffalo!! What's a few hours in the car?
Do they sell snowshoes at the airport?
Can you rent a snow cat at Avis?
Do you provide "trumpet warmers" and plastic mouthpieces?
How many layers is too many?
Do you like sea horses? Lighthouses?
And there is that bunny again.
Just joshin' ya...
In Defense of the Doctor....Are you confusing Cleveland with Dayton? Dayton is a six hour drive! Not to minimize your very much appreciated comittment, Ithaca is three hours.
This sounds like great times. I will try to see if I can get "permission" from "she who must be obeyed" in terms of activities already scheduled. So, I am a maybe. I will try to let you know either way.
