Hey Manny, regarding C vs Bf trumpet.........
Do you use the same MP on both or is there some reason/necessity to find a seperate MP when going from the Bf to a C horn?
    Thank you,
    Greg Condemi

    Greg,

Hi. I use two different mouthpieces that are the same cup and rim but are different lengths for each horn. The Bb is longer than the C and the mouthpieces follow suit. The lengths are not arbitrary, they are precise for reasons having to do with intonation, among other things. Yes, they are made by Dave Monette.

    Thanks for writing,

    ML

Thanks, Manny. Now that I'm thinking about it, my teacher uses Monette mouthpieces and I'm pretty sure he has different ones for each horn (Bf, C, picc). Maybe he'll let me take em for a spin. Even in the BIG city, they're just tough to come across for a demo play. I do understand the reasoning though. So,
    Thank you,
