I've heard both but assumed it was Cal-ette. I've heard a couple Cal-lay's lately though.

Accent on the "Cal", not the "lett".

The second pronunciation is spelled "Calais" and is the main port for ferries between to England from France.

That's what I thought. Hard "T", accent on the "Cal". I've heard two or three pros say Cal-lay lately and I don't want to correct them because they have a better double G than I do. :-)

Pedagogy can be pronounced with either an "o" sound or an "ah" sound.
