I just thought I'd make a shoutout for the clinic my professor is hosting at this year's ITG Conference (it's in two weeks, by the way). He will be presenting on "comeback playing" and all of its intricacies. Long story short, because many students choose to leave school for two years and serve the LDS Church as missionaries, Prof. David Brown literally has to work with comeback players in his studio every single year. You can imagine with that much experience, he would be a pro at it, and he is. Anybody who may be struggling with their comeback "experience," or anyone in general who thinks that their "golden" days are over, I encourage you to come. Playing trumpet is just like a bike; once you learn it, you never forget it!

Can you ask him to record his talk? I'd be willing to toss a couple dollars his way to get access to a recording.

I can record it. It'd be easy and free. I'd have to get his permission though.
