Can anyone name this traditional tropical sounding trumpet song?

    Just listened to the first minute of every song on the album best of herb alpert but no luck.

    Ill keep on looking through mariachi and ska albums.

    Sorry...I wasn't implying that what you hear on that recording is Herb Alpert... just that you said you really enjoyed that style and I thought - to offer more of "that" style...then a trip down Herb Alpert lane might give you the fix. Not that it is Herb (or a Herb tune) on the Magic Carpet dance record.

    Anyway... in the words of Forrest Gump..."that's all I got to say about that"....

    Its quite similar to pop songs such as rio de jainero and sway (mucho mambo) by shaft.

    Could it be samba or mambo or ska or mariachi? Anyone able to identify which exact genre it is?

    Still not getting anywhere in identifying the tune, surely someone out there must have an idea?

    I did not recognize it, but it did sound familiar. However the visual effects actually reprogram the brain. Anyone who watched is now an official vampire zombie mummy man.
