Can't stop slurring!!!

    being able to tongue on the trumpet is essential. It's one one the things I make sure a student can do properly in the first lessons. Not only is it neccessary for musical phrasing but it helps place the tongue to help shape the oral cavity for good sound production. let us know if you need any help.

    A few years ago I was doing the same thing. This was mostly because I was not very proficient at articulation. Now my articulation is better, and I find myself slurring less things. I think you may find yourself slurring many things because you find articulation harder. When you go into a practice session, you should try to focus on your weaknesses and get better at articulation.
