I saw a video on small dent removals.
A guy got a heat gun and bought a cheap can of air duster.
He first heated the dent up and sprayed the air-duster upside down.
and it was gone. Will does work for trumpets?

How about a link to the video, I have seen panel beaters use an Oxy-Acetelene torch to shrink steel panels on cars, never heard of it being used on brass, why not try it and let us know.

    Regards, Stuart.

I'm not sure that this would be something that I would want to experiment with on a nice instrument. Even if it did remove a dent and didn't harm the plating or lacquer, not sure what impact the temperature differentials might have on brass acoustic qualities.

Maybe try on a "beater" instrument that has little value and you wouldn't mind an adverse reaction as much?

The best way to remove dents on a brass instrument is to take it to a qualified brass repair tech and let them do it.

Brass is not steel nor aluminum.

+1. Those dent springing tricks don't work very well with highly malleable metals :-)

No. But with the right tools and some years of practice you can learn to do this....
