Played it pretty good (comparatively) 55 years ago. Dug it out tonight. Pretty terrible technically....but...I remember all the notes. Just can't make it sound too good yet. Amazing the fingers still remember after 55 years!!:-o:-o

Looking at your list of cornets. Which one did you use?

I am using the 1920 York, the '21 York PerfecTone, and the 56 Committee. Fooling around with mouthpieces. Other than playing some other things, I plan on playing this as good as possible and that should determine which horn I wind up using more. Probably take me months...lol

I think the PerfecTone will be the winner.

    My standard:
This one reason why I will play this piece and be happy with my rendition, but not talk about the "absolute" qualities.

David is actually an incredibly talented french horn player...

Interesting horn he has. I noticed he overlaps the valve buttons with his fingers. I tend to do it at time of faster pieces. Maybe i am in good company...

    I like this one"

As a horn player he plays a mighty fine cornet. I think his horn embouchure probably fattens his cornet sound. I am envious. Thank you, Rowuk, for posting that. Very musical rendition
