    hahahahahaha. It is so simple yet so brilliant...i can't believe I have missed this technique.
    I have never....never, never, never tried holding out a 2nd line G for 20 minutes.....WOW!

    Along with all the other techniques I go through....more than 50 now....I will experiment with a whisper soft 20 minute G and see what happens.

    I think the longest long tone i have ever held probably was in the neighborhood of 1 minute maybe and that was doing the Gordon Routine.

    Nicely put Noel!! But is funny about the instructor almost committing suicide.

    As for Bill Chase, probably the Schilke 6A4A didn't "hinder" his range either. Just wish they had've flown with a diffferent airline. (seriously)

    You think 20 minutes is long? Later in the book he has you playing sections for 2 days... what a stud this guy was. :)

    I just tried the first page ... the G is a mind game ... the C ... that's a little rougher .... but the e-g g-a etc... insane ..no way a beginner can play that...
