Hi Guys- I have purchased some chop saver and I put it on after some good playing and it does seem to make my lips more refreshed quicker. I was wondering if it works for anyone else.

Chopsaver is great stuff and it does work. Made by a trumpet player.

I love it -- have been using it since ITG in Harrisburg and find that it's not like any other lip balm. Really makes a good difference.

Everything that I smear on my lips gives me trouble when playing. No grip makes me feel insecure.

I quite agree when it comes time to play -- Chop-saver is for protecting your lips in between playing. It's a better (in my opinion) replacement for chapstick, and it's available with and without sunblock protection.

It's not designed to be used when you play.

Anything that changes my grip and is foreign on my lips needs to be wiped off before I feel comfortable on my mouthpiece. That being said, the slight residule left does help give me an even and easy buzz. The citris zest does help slightly after playing at least psychologicaly. I like it better than Chap Stick, for what it's worth.
