He looks young - any idea how long ago this was?

He talks about his PBS special which was last year I believe so it's got to be recent.

Oh wow. That's surprising. In the "In Boston" he looks a lot older and seems to have a lot of grey or white hair which he doesn't have here. Perhaps he borrowed Sting's coloring. :-P

I think that interview was in 2007 or 2008. Chris Botti is 46 or maybe 47 now depending on when his birthday is. I've met him twice in the past 4 years. 2007 in Durham where he was nice enough to talk with me for about 20 minutes as I hung around the signing table ( This is how I know he plays a 1926 Bach 3 ( NOT 3C ) mouthpiece ). More recently I met him at his Richmond Concert on Nov. 6th 2010. We talked again there and he signed my 1949 Committee with a sharpie that my girlfriend had just bought at the drug store around the corner. To my knowledge, I have the only trumpet that Chris has signed ( anyone correct me if they know of another ). Thanks, Chuck Cox...43 years of playing the Blues and gospel and classics. Cary, NC.
