I will offer unasked for suggestion -- I have used the Really Big Student Songbook with my two band classes at a local Catholic elementary school and they students love them! They are playing a lot more at home and I end each band class with them playing some songs out of the books and we always end the band classes on a happy note (no pun intended.) I'm also using them for sight-reading with some of my private students and the books work excellently as an introduction to that. I can't speak highly enough of these books. [disclaimer: I have no connection to Eric other than as an admirer of his music and his publications and the fine videos he has at his web-site.]
