Circular Breathing

    I find it very difficult to control the amount of air coming from my cheeks, while at the same time I have trouble keeping my embouchure in while the 'cheek air' is released...but just like every other aspect of trumpet, it'll take some time.

    I believe an argument could be made that it is more difficult to play Molto Perpetuo completely slurred...i'm not going to make it though.

    I heard that Wynton's chops crapped out halfway through so they just picked up where he left off on the recording. Can anybody confirm this as reality or fiction?

    Unless I heard it from Wynton himeslf I would not believe ANY rumors.

    This is one of those second or third hand rumours that get started by idiots. Wynton's chops do not crap out - he is way too professional for that.

    I heard from people in the band that recorded the CD that they were absolutely dazzled by that gracious musician and awed by his proficiency. The only regrets were that he went to Julliard and not Eastman..........
