    Thanks for the info! I may see about looking at the valves myself this weekend. Doesn't look terribly hard, but I've thought that before. Don't know if I'm ambitious enough to have the leadpipe/tuning slide cut down, so may just tune it down to Ab and transpose to Bb music like I would when using a Bb with my piano music.

    I'm always amazed at how much you guys on the forum really know just from looking at the pictures :worthy:. So, does this mean I'd need to get a flugal horn mouthpiece (or trumpet/flugalhorn adapter if one exists) in order to get a solid mouthpiece fit?
