I have read a lot about cleaning horns but no detailed method of cleaning the valve casings. All I have is a nylon brush that is sized for this but it only works while submerged in warm soapy water. If I were to break in a new Xeno, would I have to bathe the whole thing every day for a week?

You can run a microfiber cloth or chamois through the valve casings if you oil every day. The casing brush is more to get the sludge out after extended playing with no cleaning. I have the microfiber cloth from the company that I bought my glasses from.

I have some micro fiber cloths but cannot get them to go through the casing. I don't want to force them through with a rod so how do you get the cloth to go all the way and come out the bottom? Do you wet the cloth with valve oil first?

Cut them down to 4" x 4" and they'll go.
