Just wait a few years. It will darken and fill in.
When (and if) it does, and she plays like Doc, love her or trade her!
I prefer the love option.
Hope all the responses giving answers will help you look more like Doc Severinsen which may add to your performances.
We are going to have a few angry wives if they ever see this board.
It's the horn. That's the problem. Your never going to play that good on a Bach. I thought everyone knew that.
So, if I fork over about 3 grand for a conn connstellation that is exactly like the one Maynard played in the late 50's, then I'll sound exactly like Maynard?
No, polution has changed the chemical composition of the air we breathe, and therefore the nature, composition, specific gravity, Reynold's Number, and Nitrous Oxide content of that air will have changed too - so the vibes will be a bit different, i.e. the air column in the trumpet will be not what it once was. From a much more technical perspective, the trumpet will be flatter or sharper. The Ozone hole waxes and wanes and global warming will have caused the Conn to expand in comparison to Maynard's, again altering the sound - so, the simple answer is - no. Oh, oh, oh, .... and your trousers will be tighter causing .......
And we thought the NAIR was for the legs.....
thanks, Steve. No wonder, I'm playing a Bach, too. way back when i played Severinson model getzen, still didn't sound like him. Of course I didn't have a moustache then either. Back down to the lip fur
Sympathetic mustache vibration is the key. Ask Rowuk.
