    It's strange, but Christmas music, easy as it may seem, takes strong chops to play, why I don't know and could never figure out, but it does. It also kills chops pretty quickly as well. It's very deceiving.

    yeah I noticed that. I played some christmas piece with a first trumpet part that went on for 6 minutes straight without any rest, and every note around F/G 2. (the one's on top of the bars). it isn't that hard, but without any rest, kills chops pretty quickly.

    I played in church recently, and I just couldn't get a sound out of my trumpet (metaphorically speaking). I blame the air in the church:-). it's so different compared to normal air. (but deep down inside it was just me being nervous)
