Concerto For Cootie part

    Any one know where to get just the solo trumpet part for "Concerto for Cootie" by duke. My local music store cant just get the trumpet part.

    why not just figure it out by ear?

    it will do you good :) and why pay $ for something you can write out for free.

    Hint: The melody on the "A" sections is basically "Do Nothing 'Til You Hear From Me". IIRC, it's in our key of G. The bridge is in our key of Eb (starts with a gliss up to our Bb).

    This is a good one to have memorized anyway if you're going to be playing it with a group so you can stand in front of the band and hog the spotlight. :-)
