    Butch,

You're right..I've had my bluff called ...but it is one very nicely proportioned trumpet. Something about raw brass as well.

It looks like lacquer to me. It's too bright to be raw brass.

    Hey Trevor and Butch

Why don't you jump on board and get yourself a Calicchio - then give us all a " write-up " on them. Both you guys sound like top quality players and your input would be greatly appreciated.

    Larry

PS - Trevor - a question - are you in the military in Dubai ?

No Larry, just an ordinary banker who plays. Good point though, seems like every second person down here at the moment is either a 'consultant' (we actually don't have a direct US Army presence unlike Qatar) or attached to an embassy in some capacity or the other. It's a bit creepy really.

And thanks for the quality player label..now all I have to do is live up to it!!!

Thanks for a great forum..even if you don't play a Calicchio its always a great read. Actually I tested an R37 and R39 but didn't get to spend a lot of time behind the mp ..first impressions were of good horns with lots of 'character'.

    Regards

    Larry,

Do you find the full circle pinky ring changes your sound?...I personally don't think the cryogenic treatment really matters, what do you think? :D
