    Hello!
I have just bought a cornet Bach Elkhart 300 with mouthpiece 7C for it.
Could you recommend me a mouthpiece for it, through which the cornet would sound a mellow, dark sound, contrary to the brighter trumpet?
    Thank you

For DARK a Denis Wick 4. For a middle way the Wick 4B.
The Curry VC is also very mellow but needs some acclimatisation. The Currys can feel big compared to the Bach numbering. In my experience for the 7C diameter you could do with a Curry 8.5 VC. But maybe that's me. Others may chime in.

I don't need exactly the same diameter like 7C (it was just included to this cornet, I didn't choose them). For trumpet I have Schilke 15 and 24.
I considered something like Schilke 24 or Bach 1C- would be a good choice as well? Better than Wick 4 or Curry 5 VC or not? .

Nothing sounds like a Wick no letter. I remember when I was trying to work up my BBB playing. I spent tons of time on the Wick 4. Cool thing happened. My range went way up and my endurance was vastly increased. That mouthpiece demands you play the right way.

How's the Elkhart 300/Wick 4 working? I think those horns are Hoxon [CarolBrass] stencils but there are a few versions out there.
